Author Talks: Zalika Reid-Benta

A Toronto-based writer, Zalika Reid-Benta’s story collection Frying Plantain won the Danuta Gleed Literary Award and the Rakuten Kobo Emerging Writer Prize for Literary Fiction. Frying Plantain was longlisted for the Scotiabank Giller Prize, and was shortlisted for the Toronto Book Award, and the Trillium Book Award. She received an M.F.A. in fiction from Columbia and her first novel River Mumma will be published in 2023.

Hear authors read from their books, ask questions, learn about the writing process, and find out more about their craft of telling captivating stories. For ages 13 and over.
